OpenArtists is a group meant for people who use free and open-source software for their Art and multimedia. It's also meant for people who use Linux as the Operating System for their art. It doesn't matter what kind of art you produce, but if you use a linux or a free or open source software to create it or enhance it, then this group is for you. We are also looking for people who know a software or operating system really well and are willing to help others who may not know it quite as well. Also, if you don't use linux or a free or open source software, you can watch and you can talk in the chat, but you may not join

You probably should upgrade your Ubuntu for security. The security updates for Ubuntu 9.10 ended last April. The best move is to go to 10.04 (updates until Oct 2012).

The longer you continue with the old version, the more insecurities are likely to be found and not fixed.
